An Afghan army bus was targeted by explosives in eastern Jalalabad city on Monday, an official said.
At least 10 peoplewere killed in the explosion, said Ataullah Khogyani, a spokesman for provincial governor.
The explosives were placed in a three-wheeler. The bus was carrying newly-recruited army soldiers to training, he said.
All those killed in the blast were civilians including a chilid. 27 others were wounded, some of them critically, he said.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombing.
