Afghanistan defeated Oman by nine wickets in their second match of Emerging Teams Asia Cup played in Bangladesh on Saturday.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar town, Afghanistan bowled out Oman on 153 which they made from 44 overs.
Tariq Stanikzai picked up four wickets while Abdul Wasi Noori claimed two.
Afghanistan chased down the 154-run target in 30.5 overs.
Abdul Malik Hussain Khail scored 91 off 102 balls not out, including 12 fours and two sixes. Shahidullah Kamal helped with 34 off 44 balls.
For Oman, Jatinder Sing was their top scorer.
It was Afghanistan’s first win in the tournament after losing opener to Pakistan.
Afghanistan will next face Sri Lanka in the tournament on Monday.
