International flights to and from Kabul resumed as a plane of a foreign airline carrying hundreds of passengers arrived at the airport on Wednesday.
The flight, operated by the Turkish Airlines, carried 350 passengers from Turkey’s Istanbul to Kabul.
Emirates is also set to launch flights between Dubai and Kabul tomorrow (Thursday), according to the Civil Aviation Authority.
Domestic airlines have including Ariana and Kam Air have restarted international flights.
Commercial flights from and to Kabul had beeen suspended following the outbreak of coronavirus.
Civil Aviation Authority said that it incurred a loss of 2 billion afghanis due to the suspension.
Two domestic airlines also incurred a loss of $32 million, according to the authority.
