An Afghan army helicopter crashed in Afghanistan’s western Farah province on Wednesday, killing two pilots, the country’s defense ministry said.
The Mi-35 helicopter was on its way from provincial capital, also Farah, to Purchaman district when it crashed around 11:00a.m., MoD said in a statement.
It said that the crash happened due to technical issues.
Provincial council member Dadullah Qani said that the helicopter crashed as it was returning after delivering supplies in Purchaman district.
He said that the helicopter crashed into a mountain in Nezgan village of Purchaman district.
