Ten civilians were injured after insurgents torched schools and shops last night in Afghanistan’s northern Jowzjan province, an official said on Saturday.
Maruf Azar, a spokesman for provincial governor, said that militants set fire to four schools and shops where their owners were sleeping.
He said that the injured people had been taken to hospital for treatment.
The official blamed the Taliban for the incident, but the group rejected it.
