At least four people were injured when a a vehicle bomb exploded in Afghanistan’s central-eastern Ghazni province, an official said Saturday.
Arif Noori, a spokesman for provincial police, said that the blast happened after the explosive-laden van was targeted by Afghan forces while it was heading toward a checkpoint of people’s uprising forces in Muqur district.
He said that four members of people’s uprising forces were injured due to the explosion. Their checkpoint was also partially damaged.
The official said that the van belonged to the Taliban. The group has yet to make comment.
