The landing gear of a plane carrying US soldiers from Afghanistan to Washington D.C. collapsed during landing for refuel in Romania on Friday, reports said.
There were 80 people onboard when the Omni Air International Boeing 767 when the aircraft’s left-hand main landing gear collapsed shortly after touchdown at Bucharest Baneasa Aurel Vlaicu International Airport in the Romanian capital. The plane had departed Kabul’s Hamid Karzai International Airport.
Emergency slides were used to evacuate the passengers. No injuries were reported.
