Seven members one family have been shot dead in Afghanistan’s northern Kunduz province, police said on Sunday.
The violence happened before dawn on Saturday in the victims’ house in Kanum village of Imam Sahib district, said Hijratullah Akbari, a spokesman for provincial police.
Four men and three women were those killed. Two other members of the family – both sons – were injured and were taken to hospital by police, Akbari said.
Police arrested the brother of head of the family in their neighborhood in connection with the incident and seized a Kalashnikov gun and a pistol from him.
