110 health personnel have been infected with coronavirus in Afghanistan, the Public Health Ministry said Monday.
Those infected include 90 men and 20 women, Wahidullah Mayar, a spokesman for Public Health Ministry, said in a press conference. Four medics have died due to the virus, he said.
He said that 30 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Afghanistan over the past 24 hours, raising the country’s total to 1,026.
Half of the new cases (15) were registered in Kabul which has seen 333 cases and 12 deaths.
On reports of dozens of coronavirus cases in the presidential palace, Mayar refused to confirm or reject citing HIPPA Privacy Rule.
