Afghanistan’s Salaam telecommunication company launched 4G services on Tuesday.
The service is currently available in 15 sites in the west of Kabul and will later be expanded to other provinces, Acting Minister of Communications and Information Technology Fahim Hashimy said at the event to launch the service.
He also said the prices of internet were significantly reduced by Salaam and a private company.
Hashimy suggested that the move would push other companies to follow suit due to competition.
Salaam is third company to launch 4G services in Afghanistan.
