At least two civilians were killed and 10 others wounded in mortar shelling in Afghanistan’s western Farah province, an official said Wednesday.
The mortars struck in Qala-e Kah and Shamalgah area.
Medics in the 100-bed hospital in Farah said that those injured included women and children, who were in stable condition.
Massoud Bakhtawar, deputy provincial governor, said that a delegation was dispatched to the areas for investigation.
