An Afghan military helicopter crashed in the country’s eastern Paktia province on Wednesday, officials said, second such aircraft to crash in one day.
At least 10 people were injured in the incident which happend shortly after takeoff in Paktia, an official said.
A source told 1TV that the helicopter was carrying also Paktika’s chiefs of police and intelligence and it crashed into army corps headquarters.
The Defense Ministry in a statement said that the Mi-17 helicopter made emergency landing due to techinical issues shortly after takeoff from army corps headquarters in Paktia.
It said that there were no casualties.
The incidentcomes hours after another Afghan military helicopter crashed in western Farah province, that killed two pilots.
