Afghanistan have announced a 15-man squad for their upcoming Test match against West Indies in India’s Lucknow.
Led by Rashid Khan, the squad includes two players who have not yet featured in the Test arena: Karim Janat and Nijat Masood.
Janat bagged six wickets from two games in the recent T20I series against West Indies.
Mohammad Nabi is not in the squad as he has announced his retirement from Test. Other notable absentee is fast bowler Shapoor Zadran. Batsman Hashmatullah Shahidi and pacer Sayed Shirzad are also missing out due to injuries.
It will be Afghanistan’s fourth Test and will begin on November 27. Their last match of the format was against Bangladesh in September, with Afghanistan claiming 223-run victory.
