Nine Afghan army officers have graduated from Turkey’s National Defense University.
They were among 260 local and foreign officers and lieutenants who graduated from the university, Afghanistan’s Embassy in Ankara said in a statement.
Out of the total, 80 were foreigners from 17 countries including Afghanistan.
The graduation ceremony in Istanbul was attended by Turkish President Recep Tayyib Erdogan, parliament speaker, defense minister, Afghan military attache and other officials.
The university is a military higher education institution founded on July 31, 2016 under the National Defense Ministry.
