Fuel tanks of motorcycles with two people on them will be filled with sugar or their catalytic converters will be filled with pellets for their engines to get disabled, officials warned on Wednesday.
First Vice President Amrullah Saleh, who is in-charge of Kabul security, said that videos captured by security cameras show that most of targeted killings involve use of motorcycles with two people on them.
He said that previously only tyres of motorcycles violating two-up riding ban were being cut off, but it was found that tyres could be availed easily as they were cheap.
Targeted killings through shootings and bombings have increased in Afghanistan, including in capital Kabul.
Saleh also said that authorities will release tomorrow video of a militant acting how he used to attach magnetic bombs to vehicles in Kabul.
Earlier on Tuesday, Interior Minister Masoud Andarabi warned of punishment for police personnel whose vehicles are hit by magnetic bomb.
