At least five people were killed when a truck bomb exploded in Afghanistan’s southern Kandahar province on Sunday evening, a security source told 1TV.
Twenty-five others were wounded in the blast which targeted highway security unit in Maiwand district.
Two women, one man and one child were among those killed.
Those injured included 11 civilians and 13 police.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
