Ten civilians were killed when a roadside bomb hit two vehicles in Afghanistan’s central Maidan Wardak province on Tuesday, an official said.
Sharifullah Hotak, a provincial council member, told 1TV that the vehicles were on their way to Kabul when the incident happened in Jalrez district.
The provincial governor’s office confirmed death of five people and wounding of nine others in the blast.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombing.
