Sixteen Afghan forces were killed when Taliban militants attacked a security checkpoint in northern Baghlan province last night, sources told 1TV on Wednesday.
The attack targeted Antan post in Guzrgah Noor district.
Six local army soldiers and two policemen were among those killed. Over 10 others were wounded, according to two sources.
Sources said that the district police headquarter also came under militant attack.
