Afghan government condemns removal of national flag by Pakistani police which happened in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the country’s foreign ministry said on Thursday.
In a statement, the ministry said that hundreds of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police raided Afghan market overnight without a prior notice to Afghan consulate in Peshawar city, surrounded the market for a while and took down the Afghan national flag and the signboard over the market.
The statement called the act as “irresponsible” and an insult to the national flag.
It said that Afghanistan’s documents and legal reasons in Afghan market case were not attended to due political motives, therefore, it won’t accept the court’s decision.
