Taliban militant group has held public trial for two of their members in Afghanistan’s central-western province of Ghor, officials said on Thursday.
The duo were working with the Taliban for the last five years, the provincial police said in a statement.
They were publicly trialled by the Taliban on Wednesday over allegations of seeking to assassinate key members of the group, the statement said.
Both of those trialled were residents of Ghor’s Charsada district. They were trialled by Taliban’s shadow deputy governor for the province, Ahmad Shah.
This is not the first time that Taliban hold public trial in Ghor, but that involving their own members has rarely happened.
