Half-centuries to Ibrahim Zadran and Asghar Afghan helped Afghanistan build a 374-run lead and remain dominant on the third day of the one-off Test against Bangladesh on Saturday.
After bowling the hosts out for 205 before lunch, Afghanistan started extending its 137-run first innings lead but lost two wickets in the very first over, including Rahmat Shah who had scored century in the first innings.
Shakib al Hasan snared both the batsmen, having Ihsanullah Janat trapped lbw for 4 before catching Rahmat Shah for a duck.
Ibrahim Zadran and Asghar Afghan, however, scored 87 and 50 each respectively to steady the tourists innings.
Zadran scored 87 off 208 balls with six fours and four sixes. Afghan scored his second fifty of the match off 108 balls, including four fours and two sixes.
Eariler, Rashid Khan picked up five wickets in Bangladesh’s first innings, while Mohammad Nabi claimed three.
