A loud explosion was heard in Afghanistan’s northern Samangan province on Monday, an official said.
Sediq Azizi, a spokesman for provincial governor, told 1TV that the blast happened near provincial headquarters of intelligence agency National Directorate of Security in provincial capital city, Aibak.
The blast was triggered by a car bomb, following which attackers entered the target, sources said.
At least 11 people were killed while 63 others were wounded in the attack, Azizi said. He said that three attackers were killed in clash with security forces.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
