At least three civilians were killed when a roadside bomb struck their car in Afghanistan’s northern Faryab province on Wednesday, officials said.
The victims were travelling from Almar district to provincial capital, Maimana city, when their car of Fielder type ran over roadside bomb at 12:00p.m., police said in a statement.
Three people who were travelling in the car were killed while three others severely wounded. Casualties included also women and children, according to the statement.
Police blamed the Taliban for the bombing. The group has yet to make comment.
