Saturday’s presidential election in Afghanistan has no winner, candidate Rahmatullah Nabil said on Tuesday.
Speaking at a press conference in Kabul, Nabil, a former intelligence chief, said turnout was low in the vote and it was headed to second round.
He said that holding a second round was important for stability in the country.
He said that fraud was committed in the recent election, adding turnout would rise if the electoral bodies maintain transparency in investigating the ballots.
He claimed that the ruling election teams were interfering in the affairs of the electoral commissions.
Nabil also claimed that one of the electoral teams spent $175 million on its campaign efforts.
