Afghanistan’s National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib left for New York on Sunday to attend the United Nations General Assembly.
Mohib will deliver a speech at the event on Afghanistan’s current situation, presidential election, peace and other issues, a statement from his office said.
He is expected also to meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to discuss the organization’s support to Afghanistan.
He will also make clear the stance of Afghan government and people on peace and urge the international community to support an Afghan-led and Afghan owned peace process.
