Voting officially began in Afghanistan presidential election at 7:00a.m. on Saturday.
This is fourth such poll since the end of Taliban rule in 2001.
Eighteen people, including incumbent President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah registered themselves as candidates, three of whom dropped out.
More than nine million people have been registered as voters.
