Afghan voter lists are not proportionate to the population of provinces, an election watchdog said on Thursday.
Naeem Ayoubzada, head of Transparent Election Foundation of Afghanistan, in a press conference in Kabul warned that disproportion of voter lists would pave the way for fraud.
He also expressed concern over security threats and warned of low turnout in the vote.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan Election Watch also warned that there would be lots of problems during Election Day, including lack of female workers in the districts, problems with biometric verification system and insecurity.
Afghanistan’s presidential election is scheduled to be held on coming Saturday. Campaigning for the vote officially ended on Wednesday.
Free and Fair Election Forum of Afghanistan said that there were shortcoming in campaigning of candidates.
It also said that the commission has not provided accurate information on the number of polling centres and voters.
