Afghan presidential candidate, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, on Wednesday warned of use of violent means if results of upcoming election are unacceptable.
“Don’t make us regret our return, don’t make us regret entering election, don’t make us use other means, we can do it and we have experience of it as well,” Hekmatyar said.
He said that they could be forced to use non-peaceful means in protest against possible rigged results.
German ambassador in Kabul condemned the statement.
“Explicitly threatening with the use of violence is completely unacceptable, disqualifies him as candidate for democratic elections and should be investigated by the competent authorities,” Peter Prugel said on Twitter.
