At least four civilians including a journalist were killed in a bomb blast in Afghanistan’s southern Kandahar province last night, officials said Wednesday.
Six others were wounded in the explosion which was triggered by a magnetic bomb in Police District 14 of the provincial capital, also Kandahar, said Nasrat Rahimi, a spokesman for Interior Ministry.
The journalist who was killed in the bombing was identified as Abdul Hamid Hotaki who worked with Radio Hewad.
The deaths included also a child. One woman and one child were among those injured.
Rahimi blamed the Taliban for the attack, but the group has yet to make comment.
