Taliban’s shadow governor for western Farah province has been killed in an airstrike, the militant group confirmed Saturday.
Afghanistan’s defense ministry said that Abdul Bari, also known as Mullah Mushur, was killed in an air raid in Khak-e-Safid of the border province on Friday night.
Two other senior Taliban militants were also killed in the raid, it said.
In a statement, Taliban confirmed death of their governor in Farah province, saying he was killed in a US airstrike.
The statement identified him as Fazal Rahman.
