A bus carrying university students was struck by bomb in Afghanistan’s central-eastern province of Ghazni on Monday, as a result of which one person was killed while five others were wounded, officials said.
The blast happened around 12:30p.m. in an area near Dasht-i-Ali Lala of provincial capital Ghazni, the provincial governor’s office said in a statement.
The driver of the bus was killed in the incident, while five others who were male students of Ghazni University were injured.
Fifteen other students, majority of them female, suffered shock following the incident and were admitted to hospital.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombing.
In a separate incident, five civilians including women and children were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in was hit by a roadside bomb in Farah capital on Sunday, the Interior Ministry said.
