Afghan government has appointed new ambassadors in 13 countries, the Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
They are:
Manijha Bakhtari to Austria. She is former ambassador to Norway.
Amir Mohammad Ramin to Turkey. He is a former director of regional cooperation at Foreign Ministry.
Syed Tayib Javad to Russia. He is former ambassador to UK.
Amanullah Jaihoon to Azerbaijan. He is a former director at Foreign Ministry.
Zalmai Rasool to UK. He is a former foreign minister.
Khalid Zakaria to Italy. He is a former director at Foreign Ministry.
Yama Yari to Germany. He is former public minister.
Bismillah Waziri to Kyrgyzstan. He is former chief of army staff.
Najibullah Alikhil to Pakistan. He is former ambassador for Turkmenistan.
Farid Mamondzai to India. He is former deputy of Independent Director of Local Governance.
Khan Wali Khan Basharmal to Turkmenistan. He is former deputy of Administrative Office of the President.
Meanwhile, Wahid Waisi’s tenure as ambassador in Australia has been extended for one year. Shafaq Khawati has been appointed as special envoy for refugees affairs in Iran.
