A truck bomb exploded in Afghanistan’s northern Balkh province on Tuesday, causing dozens of casualties, army said.
Hebatullah Alizai, commander of Army’s 209th Corps Shaheen, said that the bombing happened near a base of commandos.
One commando was killed while six more were wounded. The blast caused 30 to 35 civilian casualties as well, he said.
Fawad Aman, deputy spokesman for Defense Ministry, said that two civilians and one commando were killed in the attack. He said that 35 civilians and six commandos were injured.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
