Five Afghan forces and four Taliban militants were killed in an overnight clash in northern Kunduz province, an official said Sunday.
Esmatullah Muradi, a spokesman for provincial governor, told 1TV that the clash happened in Bakhmal Kocha area of Imam Sahib district.
He said that the Afghan forces deaths included four local army soldiers and one police. One police was lightly wounded.
The official said that Taliban suffered four deaths and four injuries in the clash.
