Four Afghan nationals drowned in a reservoir in Iran’s central Isfahan province on Tuesday, Iranian media reported.
The incident happened at Zayenda River dam as one of the four people drowned and the remaining tried to rescue, Iran’s official IRNA news agency reported, citing provincial head of crisis management authority, Mansoor Shisha Frosh.
The victims included three women and one man, who aged 20 to 50 years, the official said.
He said that swimming is not allowed in rivers and dams and that 21 people had drowned in Isfahan waters since the start of the year.
