Five members of one family were killed in an attack by gunmen in Afghanistan’s eastern Khost province on Sunday night, police said.
The violence happened in their house in Ismail Khil and Mandozi district, said Adil Haidar, a spokesman for provincial police.
Three others were injured in the incident, he said.
The casualties included a man, a woman and three children, according to the official.
Haidar said that police were investigating the incident.
