Afghan authorities on Sunday announced that school closure was extended by three months because of the coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement, the Ministry of Education said that mid-term exams will be conducted simultaneously with the final exams in cold provinces and scores will be given out of 100 marks.
It said that alternative options for education services will be officially launched, including limited gardening and distance education.
It urged students to pursue educational programs on TV and radio channels during holidays.
Private schools could start online and distance education. Private school students facing financial problems will be given discounts and loans.
