Afghanistan’s Interior Ministry on Saturday warned district police chiefs in capital Kabul that they would be dismissed if an attack is carried out by assailants on motorcycle in their area.
The warning is announced a day after two policemen were shot dead by gunmen on motorcycle in the city.
Tariq Aryan, a spokesman for Interior Ministry, said that perpetrators of most of the assassinations involving motorcycles are Taliban militants.
According to the official, 169 criminal cases were registered over the past one month. 136 people were arrested.
Meanwhile, police detained 200 people in the city over celebratory shots and use of firecrackers.
