Nine members of people’s uprising force were killed in an overnight Taliban attack in northern Takhar province, a security source told 1TV on Wednesday.
Six others were wounded in the assault which targeted two checkpoints in Lala Guzar village of Khwaja Bahauddin district.
The assault began around 1:00a.m., triggering a clash which lasted half an hour.
Taliban also suffered casualties in the assault, the source said.
