Six Afghan army soldiers were killed when Taliban militants attacked an outpost in eastern Laghman province last night, officials said Monday.
Five other soldiers were wounded in the incident which happened in Alisheng district, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Provincial governor’s spokesman, Asadullah Dawlatzai, said that the counterattack left six militants dead and 17 more wounded.
He said that the attack happened in Qalae Kochian area.
