Ten Afghan migrants died and 15 others went missing in Iran border incident, an Afghan probe team said on Sunday.
They were among 46 labourers who crossed the border. 21 others survived, according to the investigation.
Head of the probe team, Abdul Hamid Tahmasi, said that they collected the information from the victims’ relatives and survivors.
He said that an Iranian team was expected to begin cooperating in the investigation soon.
Iranian border guards have been accused of forcing the migrants into the river, although Iranian authorities have denied it.
Meanwhile, 120 Afghan human rights and civil society activists in a letter urged Iranian president to deliver justice. They urged the Iranian government to apologize for the incident, punish the culprits and pay compensation.
