Coronavirus cases in Afghanistan crossed 1,000 mark with nine new infections announced Monday.
The new cases were detected in Laghman (4), Kunar (4) and Nangarhar (1). They were reported by health officials in Nangarhar where coronavirus tests in the zone are carried out. The country’s total cases have beem raised to 1,005.
Afghanistan has registered 31 deaths from coronavirus and 131 recovery cases.
On Monday, Public Health Ministry’s spokesman Wahidullah Mayar confirmed to 1TV death of chief of Shinozada Hospital in Kabul due to the virus.
