Afghanistan’s health officials on Friday confirmed 15 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the country’s total to 106.
The new cases were detected in Herat (11), Farah (3) and Ghazni (1).
There have been three confirmed deaths from the virus in Afghanistan.
On Friday, Public Health Minister Ferozuddin Feroz warned that millions of people will get infected with the virus if it is not taken seriously.
Officials have announced lockdown on Kabul, with residents urged to stay at home and government institutions closed for three weeks.
