A 45-year-old woman died from coronavirus in western Herat province on Tuesday night, second death from the virus in Afghanistan.
The woman died in the hospital, said Abdul Hakim Tamana, the provincial health director.
Afghanistan’s health ministry has confirmed 74 cases of coronavirus and two deaths attributed to it.
The first death happened in Balkh province.
