Number of Afghanistan’s coronavirus cases jumps from 42 to 74
32 is the highest number of new cases reported in 24 hours in Afghanistan. All of them were recorded in Herat province, which is near the border with Iran.
Afghanistan has one confirmed death from the virus.
Earlier in the day, the country’s health minister warned that 16 million Afghans could be infected and 110,000 could die from coronavirus if people ignore precautionary measures.
