Building of a 100-bed hospital has begun in Afghanistan’s Herat province for coronavirus patients, which is scheduled to be completed in 15 to 20 days.
The hospital covering 2,064 square meters of land will be built with prefabricated parts and will have one floor, provincial governor’s office said in a statement.
It will be built in three working shifts by more than 100 workers and engineers, the statement said.
The hospital will have advanced medical equipment for treatment of coronavirus patients.
Afghanistan has confirmed 22 cases of coronavirus, 13 of them in Herat province which is near the border with Iran.
The government has alloted 400 million afghanis to Herat province for coronavirus fight.
