At least 18 Afghan forces were killed in attacks by Taliban militants last night, a security source told 1TV on Wednesday.
The attacks targeted security checkpoints in Dobolola and Baghe Shirkat areas, as a result of which 15 army soldiers and three local police were killed, according to the source.
Meanwhile, militants abducted 10 border forces after attacking a security checkpoint in But Kashan area of Imam Sahib district on Wednesday morning, the source said.
The attacks come as Taliban have announced resumption of their normal offensive against Afghan forces following a seven-day reduction in violence that was followed by signing peace deal with the United States.
