A car bomb aimed at a convoy of foreign forces exploded in Afghanistan’s central province of Parwan on Friday night, officials said.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast which occurred near Bagram air base.
Waheed Shahkar, a spokesman for Parwan governor, said that the attack happened at 11:25p.m. as the forces were patrolling in Sar-e-Sayad Bazar in Bagram district.
He said that a tank was damaged as a result of the explosion, but there were no casualties.
Sonnly Leggett, a spokesman for US Forces Afghanistan, also rejected Taliban’s claim of casualties.
The attack comes as Taliban are holding peace talks with US in Qatari capital Doha.
