Mohammad Mohaqiq has joined Abdullah Abdullah’s election team after breaking alliance with candidate Hanif Atmar.
Mohaqiq, who is Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah’s second deputy in the national unity government, was supporting Atmar as his second vice-president candidate.
His move comes following disagreement within Atmar’s team over creation of a prime ministerial post.
The news of Mohaqiq’s joining Abdullah’s team was confirmed to 1TV by Asadullah Sa’adati, who is Abdullah’s second vice-president candidate.
