Taliban insurgents have killed a woman and mutilated a man over the allegations of having extra-marital affairs, police said on Tuesday.
The incident happened on Monday in Ghalbyan village of Garzewan district, where the militants killed 25-year-old woman and cut both legs and all fingers of the 20-year-old man with an axe.
Abdul Karim Yorush, a spokesman for provincial police, said that the woman was married and left behind two children.
The woman’s body was cut into pieces by her father, he said.
Yorush said that the man was a member of the Taliban.
